Early-bird registration: 15 December 2019. The theme of this year’s meeting is Evolutionary Demography under Global Change. From 15 to 19 April 2020, all evolutionary demographers across the world are invited to present their latest research as well as develop new collaborations, ideas and projects on the interplay between demography and evolutionary biology. The 7th Annual Meeting of the Evolutionary Demography Society is hosted by CBD in Røros, Norway. A great achievement, especially considering the few projects in ecology and evolution that received funding this time.ħth EvoDemoSoc Annual Meeting hosted by CBD The Norwegian Research Council funds a CBD projectĬBD congratulates professor Henrik Jensen most strongly with the funding of the project “The importance of inbreeding and drift in conservation of subdivided populations” from the FRIPRO-program of the Research Council of Norway. CBD thanks the organizing committee Jonathan Fredricsson Marquez, Lisbeth Pedersen and Stefan Vriend for an excellent organization of this conference making participation such a pleasant and stimulating experience. The numerous positive feedbacks received from the participants and the Board of the Evolutionary Demography Society suggest this became a successful conference. In spite of considerable logistical challenges the conference run smoothly and the communication platform generated a lot discussion and exchange of ideas. 33 persons attended the conference in person, whereas 75 persons participated online. 
In addition, 2 workshops were organized, and posters were available online. In total, 70 presentations were given during the conference, a majority of those (59) as virtual presentations. The 7th annual conference of the Evolutionary Demography Society was organized as a hybrid conference combining physical attendance at the venue Røros Hotell, Røros, Norway during October 6-10 2020 with online presentations and interactions with people from several continents.
